Green-roof holiday home 9G

Holiday home 9G is about 100 m2 and can accommodate six people. Through the front door, you enter a spacious hallway that provides access to the living room with fully equipped dining kitchen (together 56.5 m2), three bedrooms (13, 10 and 5.3 m2), the bathroom and WC.

Underfloor heating and cosy fireplace

The whole house has underfloor heating and the living room has a cosy fireplace hanging on the wall.

Super fast internet (glass fibre)

The entire house has an excellent internet connection via glass fibre and Wi-Fi with a 100 Mbps download and a 100 Mbps upload. You can use this for free!

Living room

The living room has a comfortable corner sofa, a sofa bed and two armchairs. From your easy chair, you have a beautiful view over the garden, towards the Reitdiep and the national landscape Middag Humsterland. As all houses have a grass roof, it looks very natural. In the house you will find books, a TV, a sound system to play CDs or LPs and various games.

Terrace

The living room opens onto the large terrace through French doors. The terrace is equipped with a garden set. On cold evenings, you can use the cast-iron terrace heater and make the most of the many stars.

Kitchen

In the open-plan kitchen/dining room, you have every opportunity to enjoy cooking. The kitchen has a gas hob with four burners and a wok burner and a combi-magnatron. Of course, the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, various spices, oils, coffee, tea and handy kitchen appliances including a nespresso machine.

Bedrooms

Bedroom 1 at the front of the house has a large glass front. This means great views from your double bed (140 x 200). Would you prefer more privacy? Then just slide the blinds closed. Bedroom 2 is the smallest, with two single beds, ideal for children. In bedroom 3 you sleep in a large double bed (180×210). The room also has a large wardrobe. Each bedroom has storage space for your holiday belongings.

Bathroom

The bathroom is nice and spacious with a large sink, bathtub and a lovely separate shower. You can also spin your laundry here. There is a drying rack to dry your laundry. Next to the bathroom is a separate toilet.

Boat, jetty and parking

You can bring your own boat and moor it at the spacious berth belonging to the house. (max. draft approx. 1 metre). You can park two cars at our house. You can park your bicycles in the attached shed. Or your walking shoes, as the start of the Pieterpad (Pieterburen) is nearby.

Facilities

Within walking distance, you can enjoy a delicious yet inexpensive meal at the small restaurant ‘Overdaips’. Be sure to reserve a place, as it is often fully booked. You can get fresh bread at the bakery in Ezinge. Opposite is a small supermarket for forgotten groceries. The nearby most beautiful village of the Netherlands (2021) Winsum has more amenities and nice boutiques. The city of Groningen is 20 minutes away by car.
